Climate change economics, political polarization and higher ed

I am an Assistant Professor of economics at the University of Wyoming. My research focuses on political polarization, climate change economics, and natural resource management. I also do outreach aimed at understanding and reducing political polarization, especially as it relates to environmental issues and college campuses. I host the Grounded, Not Divided podcast at the University of Wyoming, and I hosted six seasons of the Free Mind podcast in my previous position at the University of Colorado Boulder.

I regularly give public presentations and speak to national and international media on the topics of climate change polarization; free expression and political polarization on college campuses; climate change economics; long-run scenarios of climate change and economic growth; the relationship between economic growth and fiscal, social, and political unrest; and endangered species conservation. Media mentions, popular articles, recordings of my previous talks and podcasts, and more information about me and my research group, can be found at my website, linked below.
