Civic Engagement/Civil Discourse

Brian directs academic civic engagement at Appalachian State University where he works with faculty and students to integrate civic participation into the curriculum. He is also an Expert Speaker for the US State Department US Speakers Program. I particularly enjoy leading small groups in close readings and discussions of ambiguous non-technical readings around topics of civic life.
